This first Canon EF-Mount auto-focus lens from SAMYANG embodies the brand's widely recognized optical technology, especially in the wide-angle lens category. Out of a total of 15 lenses in 10 groups, 7 special optical lenses were chosen to maximize image quality when manufacturing this lens. The use of two aspherical lenses, four high refractive lenses, and an extremely low dispersion lens minimizes distortion and various aberrations while producing crystal clear resolution. The remarkably uniform image quality from the center to the corner of the wide viewing angle of 116.6 degrees appears clearly on the MTF chart.
The minimized weight and the movement of the focusing lens group enables a quiet and pleasant autofocusing with high accuracy. This compact SAMYANG AF 14 / 2.8 DSLR Canon EF weighs only 485 g without a protective cap and is therefore the ideal travel companion to capture unforgettable moments on your journey. Weather protection and a built-in AF / MF switch increase the user-friendliness.
Designed for the best
For the best possible optical performance of the lens, the light flux has been optimized specifically based on the ratio of the lens glass to the position of the sensor of the Canon cameras. The high-quality processed 14 mm 2.8 lens is compact and lightweight despite the solid metal housing.

Save time in post-processing. A variety of lens aberrations such as distortion, edge blur, or vignetting occur on the outside of the image.
