Versatile wide angle with high light intensity
The SAMYANG 35 / 1.4 lens is the ideal focal length for ready-to-shoot reportage. In combination with an 85 mm always the right combination: The outstanding advantage of the 35 mm lies in its freedom of distortion: It brings more image to the sensor, the wide-angle distortions or fleeing perspective does not occur yet. The very high aperture of 1.4 allows up to 3 time steps reserve compared to a standard varifocal lens. The light intensity is also visible in the brightness of the viewfinder, which provides adjustment security. The very shallow depth of field with open aperture facilitates a selective setting of the sharpness.

internal focusing
The lens is equipped with an inner focus. Lens groups are moved inside, the overall length of the optics does not change, and the front bezel does not rotate when focusing. Gradient and polarization filters can therefore be easily applied (size 77mm).

Optical design
12 lens elements in 10 groups are evidence of a huge effort to get a powerful and very good look. One lens is aspherical ground, two more have high refractive glasses. Despite the average image angle, hardly any aberrations are recognizable even at full aperture.

Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor
Save time in post-processing. A variety of lens aberrations such as distortion, edge blur, or vignetting occur on the outside of the image. If you use a full-frame lens on a camera with APS-C sensor, these areas will not be used. This gives you the maximum quality. Additional post-processing time for the correction of lens errors is thus eliminated.
